Our Team

  • Craig & Maggie Coppenbarger

    Craig is our lead pastor at Valor and he comes with great ministry and military experience.  He is currently involved in church planting efforts both locally and nationally through various strategic partnerships. He loves life and loves his family. Craig invests his time towards building strong relationships through lunch or a cup of coffee.


    Maggie loves laughing (mainly at Craig), drinking coffee, organizing, Scottie dogs.  She is passionate about reaching out to military wives because she knows what is like to work and take care of a family in a military culture.


    Their hearts are to develop a healthy church body of all ages and turning that body into disciples for reaching Knob Noster, America and the world.

    They enjoy the opportunities to share the gospel and speak to students, singles and young adults and familiesGod has blessed them with the talent to reach the culture of Generation Next.  


    Craig  and Maggie have two children Gigi and Isaiah. 

  • Drew & Julie Lewis

    Drew & Julie Lewis have been part of church ministries bi-vocationally for the past 14 years across mid-Missouri. The Lewis’ are devoted to inspiring and challenging people to live informed lives by the Gospel of Jesus in every arena. They are passionate about the privilege and responsibility to nurture those relationships. 


    Drew is owner of area Title Insurance companies and provides visionary and directional leadership for the church staff and congregation. Julie is Valor’s Public Relations Director and is an instructor at the University of Central Missouri teaching Digital Media courses. Julie strives to use unique communication to put people at ease and engage sound biblical teaching. Their passion is to help people raise, not cheapen, the value of their relationship with Jesus.


    The Lewis’ met at Mizzou in 1998 where Drew was one of Julie’s volunteers for a charity event. They have been married since July of 2002 and are the parents of three girls named Elise, Sloane, & Lydia.


  • Paul & Mandy Ourth

    Paul is our worship leader at Valor. Paul has been a musician for nearly 20 years and has as either led or been a part of worship teams for the last 15 years. Paul has a background in several musical genres and a true passion for bringing an authentic, heart-felt worship experience to Valor. In addition to music and song-writing, he also enjoys reading, outdoors, sports, gaming, and wasting countless hours restoring his old Honda CRX.


    Mandy also helps lead our worship at Valor. She has a degree in Music Education and brings a touch of class to this musical duo. Mandy also has a passion for women's ministry and has a true gift for making tough conversations easy. Mandy thinks her husband is a lot funnier than he really is and is a loving wife and stay at home mom.


    Paul and Mandy have a heart for young adults, youth, and young couples. They have a passion for helping navigate life's tougher to talk about issues and loving people that need it. The Ourth's are truly excited about God's plan for Valor Church, Whiteman AFB, and the surrounding community.


    Paul and Mandy have three daughters: Caty, Hailey, and Charlotte.

  • Joey & Elisa Couch

    Joey & Elisa share a passion for those who have never heard or never understood the Good News of Jesus to hear it in a meaningful, relevant way. Both of them desire to see children learn and understand the Word of God and have a friendship with God that molds and shapes their lives as they grow.


    Joey has been in the Air Force Reserves with the 442d Fighter Wing since 2010. He serves in the Logistics Readiness Squadron as a TMO technician. Although he enjoys the military, his desire is to work in the civilian corporate workplace and be a light for Jesus in a secular world. Elisa is the Children's Ministry Coordinator at Valor Church and an elementary teacher at Whiteman Elementary. Previously, she served with the International Mission Board in Eastern India for two years where she taught women the importance of following Jesus and sharing Him with others and where she volunteered in a school located in a slum.


    Joey and Elisa were married in December 2015 and are expecting their first child in October.

  • Devin & Jessica Hackler

    Devin is our Pastoral Resident. He and Jessica are currently preparing for the call that God has placed on their lives. Devin and Jessica have been a great addition to our team and we love having them as part of our church family.


    They have two children, McKenna and Riley.
